Digital Marketing Specialist – Thomson Reuters

During her time as a a digital marketing specialist for Thomson Reuters, Alyssa specialized in organic SEO, performance analytics, data reporting, trend predictions and client communication. She worked with over 100 clients within a project life span and optimized each digital presence with attention to detail. This included a comprehensive consultation of the client’s organic offsite and onsite presence, social media, local marketing, and paid marketing. She became efficient in WordPress, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Microsoft Office Suite, Performance Console, and multiple content management systems.
Alyssa has won multiple awards for her digital marketing strategies for client projects. She also trained new members joining the team, ensuring they are set up for success. She has managed the department newsletter, sending out informative topics and updates to over 200 people. She was a part of Thomson Reuters Women @ Work and participated in a year long mentorship program that connected 20 women across the organization
Digital Marketing Intern – Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin

During her time at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Alyssa assisted in a large website redesign, as well as rewrote the website by consulting with physicians and medical directors. She was the first intern to get published on the blog. She also assisted in managing social media content. She worked with local agencies and news stations to coordinate press, as well as develop stories. She once created a viral Facebook post that gained national recognition and was featured on NBC Nightly News. Alyssa collaborated with the email marketing team to produce a monthly newsletter that was distributed to thousands of families. She wrote an internal SiteCore CMS training manual and hosted trainings to create more efficient workflows. Alyssa assisted hospital events and reported on different cases and hospital accomplishments.

While attending the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Alyssa was a campus correspondent for HerCampus. She wrote biweekly articles highlighting lifestyle, education, fashion and health. She conducted interviews featuring some of the brightest and most inspiring people on campus. Her first published article became the top viewed article for the UWM chapter and gained national recognition. Alyssa continued to get featured on the national page and some of her photography was used on instagram.
Marketing Coordinator – HuTerra

This diverse role allowed Alyssa to work remotely through out her time in college. HuTerra is a crowdfunding platform designed to assist fundraising nonprofits in a functional and convenient way. Through her time there, she was able to work with a variety of non profit organizations, including Kenya Works. She worked side by side with the CEO to create digital strategies, events, marketing material and branding. She also worked with local schools and athletic departments to set up their marketing strategies.
Marketing Intern – Lammi Sports Management

Through this internship she was able to get a glimpse into the sports industry. Alyssa worked with well known athletes in the country and assisted her boss with different sports agent duties. She wrote press releases and blog posts about the business and clients, as well as conducted sponsorship research. She assisted different events including the Donald Driver Driven to Achieve Awards, the Jordy Nelson Softball Tournament and the Donald Driver Softball Tournament.
